About Me
My goal is to show that meaningful family-focused adventures don’t require an unlimited budget.
Paulie’s Place is where I share hands-on experiences with adventure gear, vehicle upgrades, and RC builds that I personally use and test.
Paul, the author and owner of the site, has played with RC cars for many decades. In fact, I used to play with RC cars when they had square wheels. Well, that might be an exaggeration. I started with hobby-grade RC trucks when my brother bought a Kyosho Big Brute. Eventually, I inherited the truck. That truck ignited my love for RC vehicles.
I have been fascinated by motorcycles and cars. My last motorcycle was a BMW F650 Dakar. I sold the bike in a weak moment when my second daughter entered the world. My love for motorcycles is still there, and I take the opportunity to ride one whenever I get the chance.
But Paulie’s Place is more than just being a gearhead. It’s about helping dads create meaningful memories with their kids. This can be hiking, biking, wheeling, building, or exploring the outdoors. Each of my kids has different passions. Two of my kids love mountain biking, hiking, and sports in general. I have one kid who would probably be a gladiator if that was still a thing. I have another kid who loves snow days and quiet reading. I am sure that this child would rather compete in a spelling bee than any sporting event.
Paulie’s Place is a reminder for all of us. This includes me as well. We should step away from screens, get outside, and enjoy time together as a family. Pull up a chair, explore the blog, and join me in learning, creating, and having fun with your family.
