We all have that business, product or person that comes to mind when someone asks us for a recommendation, the one we go out of our way or pay the extra few dollars for. For me, there's the bike store I'll drive an extra fifteen miles for, the favorite secret dining establishment I take all visiting family, friends and worthy dates - among the many others here.
I enjoy promoting good businesses and great people. If I can positively affect those businesses and people just one tiny bit by taking a couple minutes of my time, I should. It's as simple as that.
What makes a good business, product or service is different to all of us. Friendliness and helpfulness go a huge way in my book. A product a service that is actually useful does too. If they're important to you too, you might agree with my picks should you give one a chance.
